Alcoholic beverage licenses; establishing certain exemption. Effective date.

SB 533 amends Oklahoma's alcohol licensing law (37A O.S. § 2-121) to exempt certain employees from needing an employee license. Specifically, it removes the requirement for employees at package stores, retail beer/wine, or brewpubs who do not serve, mix, or sell alcohol. The bill maintains licensing requirements for managers at mixed beverage venues, hotel staff handling mini-bar alcohol, and employees at other specified establishments. It does not change age requirements, training mandates, or the exemption for employees selling alcohol only to licensed businesses. The law takes effect November 1, 2025.
