SB 181 amends Oklahoma's child care regulations to extend continuing education requirements for directors from annual to a two-year cycle. It creates a one-year probationary period for new directors replacing master teachers, with a possible one-year extension while pursuing qualifications. The bill also exempts individuals from full master teacher qualifications if they have two years of relevant child care/education experience or six credit hours in approved child care courses. These changes apply to all child care centers licensed under Oklahoma's Department of Human Services rules, effective November 1, 2025.
