Municipalities; removing prohibition of municipal registration of real property. Effective date.

SB 166 removes a prohibition on Oklahoma municipalities registering real property. It allows cities to collect contact information for property owners related to public safety, emergency maintenance, and property abatement processes without charging fees. Municipalities may also create owner lists for public safety purposes but cannot enforce registration requirements or collect fees for this data. The bill takes effect November 1, 2025.
