HB 2252, the "Big Yellow School Bus Act," requires Oklahoma school districts to provide a 20% wage increase for support employees earning under $80,000 annually during the 2025-2026 school year. This applies to non-teaching staff (e.g., bus drivers, cafeteria workers) employed by the same district in both the 2024-2025 and 2025-2026 school years, with the increase prorated based on hours worked. The raise is in addition to any existing pay, benefits, or mandated increases. The law takes effect July 1, 2025.
