Medical marijuana; requiring employees of licensed medical marijuana dispensaries to apply for and receive medical marijuana credentials from the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority; codification; effective date.

HB 2237 requires all employees at Oklahoma's licensed medical marijuana dispensaries to obtain and maintain a credential from the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority starting January 1, 2024. To qualify, employees must complete approved training, pay a $30 fee, be at least 21 years old, and provide identification. The credential permits employees to assist customers with product selection, explain risks/benefits, and demonstrate safe use, but prohibits diagnosing conditions, recommending against other treatments, accepting payment for product recommendations, or offering free samples. Dispensary staff must visibly display their credentials and comply with strict guidelines, with the Authority able to deny, suspend, or revoke credentials for violations or fraud.
