HB 1821 allows custodial parents to file civil lawsuits against non-custodial parents who fail to pay court-ordered child support for three consecutive months or intentionally hide income. If a court finds violation, it can order seizure of the non-custodial parent's property/assets in addition to requiring back payments. The law applies directly to parents obligated to pay child support who evade payments, with the goal of strengthening enforcement. It takes effect November 1, 2025, and creates new provisions under Oklahoma Statutes Title 43, Section 115.1.
