Schools; Ten Commandments; display; procedures; effective date; emergency.

HB 1006 requires all Oklahoma public schools to display a durable poster or framed copy of the Ten Commandments in every classroom starting the 2025-2026 school year. The display must be at least 16x20 inches, legible from anywhere in the classroom, and include the exact text specified in the bill (including the full wording from Exodus 20). Schools may accept privately donated displays meeting these requirements and must donate unused displays to other public schools. The bill takes effect July 1, 2025, and declares an emergency to expedite implementation.
