AN ACT to amend and reenact section 39-09-01 of the North Dakota Century Code, relating to careless driving and causing injury to the operator of an authorized emergency vehicle or damage to an authorized emergency vehicle; and to provide a penalty.

This bill amends North Dakota's careless driving statute to increase penalties for accidents involving emergency vehicles and snow removal equipment. The changes raise the damage threshold for snow removal equipment from $1,000 to $4,000 and clarify protections for first responders and emergency vehicle operators.
