AN ACT to provide an appropriation for defraying the expenses of the council on the arts; to provide for a transfer; to provide for a report; and to provide an exemption.

Base budget appropriations increased by $180,905, with specific additions to salaries and wages ($177,927), operating expenses ($5,000), and a new line item for a new and vacant FTE pool ($16,519). Grants funding was slightly reduced by $18,541.

New one-time funding of $5,000 was added for arts across the prairie education projects, to be reported to the appropriations committees of the seventieth legislative assembly.

New reporting requirement added for the council on the arts to report to the budget section after June 30, 2026, any line item transfer exceeding $50,000.

New provision allowing the council on the arts to request transfers from the new and vacant FTE pool line item to the salaries and wages line item, following guidelines in House Bill No. 1015.

New authority granted to the council on the arts to use up to $190,000 from the cultural endowment fund for maintenance or construction of arts across the prairie projects.
