A BILL for an Act to create and enact two new sections to chapter 15.1-07 of the North Dakota Century Code, relating to offering school breakfast and lunch at no cost and the school meals fund; to provide an appropriation; to provide for a transfer; and to provide an effective date.

The bill was amended to renumber its section from 25.1395.03000 to 25.1395.05000 and updated the list of eligible schools to include public charter schools in the mandatory provision while keeping them optional in the voluntary provision. The reimbursement calculation was also adjusted to use 'applicable' federal rates instead of 'maximum' rates, and the language was updated to reflect that schools receive whatever federal reimbursement they actually get rather than comparing it to a maximum rate.
