Removed the provision limiting the Attorney General from participating in litigation that would invalidate presidential executive orders.

Added a requirement for the Attorney General to submit a report by June 1, 2025, to the Joint Legislative Oversight Committee on Justice and Public Safety.

Added specific data requirements for the report, including the number of convictions for G.S. 14-277 violations and how many involved impersonation of ICE agents.

Modified the effective date section to clarify when the new reporting requirement applies versus when the rest of the act becomes effective.

Added a new Section 2 requiring the Attorney General to submit a report to the Joint Legislative Oversight Committee on Justice and Public Safety by June 1, 2025.

The report must include the number of G.S. 14-277 convictions obtained between January 1, 2021 and March 1, 2025.

The report must specify how many of those convictions involved defendants impersonating agents of Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Added subsection (b) with two new requirements: (1) prohibiting the Attorney General from filing actions that would invalidate federal executive orders, and (2) prohibiting the Attorney General from advancing arguments in pending cases that would invalidate federal executive orders.
