Child Care Initiative Funds/Reform/Study.
What changed between versions
Graduates can now receive either a standard North Carolina Early Childhood Credential or a Provisional NC Early Childhood Credential, allowing them to work as lead teachers or group leaders immediately upon graduation.
The requirement to begin employment was updated to include 'licensed family child care home' in addition to licensed child care centers.
The stipend eligibility clause was updated to explicitly state that graduates establishing a 'licensed family child care home' are eligible for the award.
Sponsor names, committee referral details, and the original bill header were removed, likely due to the bill being in a substitute version.
A new section was added at the end appropriating funds from the General Fund to the Department of Health and Human Services for the program.
