A 11001: Relates to reimbursement for non-medical transportation for individuals with a substance use disorder to receive peer support services

This bill allows funding for non-medical transportation to help people with substance use disorders get to peer support services. It requires the relevant office to set specific payment rates for these rides by April 1, 2026, after consulting with the Department of Health. The legislation also directs officials to seek federal Medicaid money and other available grants to pay for this transportation. Once the rates are established, individuals with substance use disorders will have a clearer path to accessing necessary peer support through covered travel assistance.
