Authorizes the issuance of distinctive plates for medical technologists

This bill allows New York State medical technologists to request special license plates displaying "Medical Technologist" below "New York State." To qualify, applicants must verify their current licensure annually and pay a $15 annual fee in addition to standard registration costs. The plates will only be issued if the DMV receives at least 200 applications (with the $15 fee) before production begins, avoiding a $6,000 surety bond requirement. All fees collected fund plate design and distribution through a dedicated state fund.
