Relates to endangering the welfare of a child

This bill extends the time limit for prosecuting certain child endangerment cases. Specifically, it delays the start of the statute of limitations until the victim turns 23 years old, or until the crime is reported to police or the child abuse registry - whichever happens first. The law applies to charges of endangering a child's welfare under Penal Law §260.10, as well as related sexual offenses and incest involving minors. This change gives survivors more time to report abuse and seek legal action without time restrictions.
