S 8022 New York Senate · 2025 Regular Session

Relates to authorizing the town of Dekalb, in the county of St. Lawrence, to reduce the maximum speed limit on certain public roadways

Bill S 8022 authorizes the town of Dekalb in St. Lawrence County to reduce the maximum speed limit on a specific portion of United States Route 11. The town board of Dekalb may, by local law, establish new speed limits on this section, provided they are not less than 45 miles per hour. This authorization applies to the segment of US Route 11 beginning a quarter-mile north of the East Dekalb Road intersection and ending a quarter-mile south of the Hermon-DeKalb Central school athletic fields entrance. This allows the local government to adjust speed limits in that particular area.
