S 7603 New York Senate · 2025 Regular Session

Requires registering with the sex offender registry no later than five days after any change of address

Bill S 7603 changes the timeframe for individuals listed on the sex offender registry to report certain updates. It shortens the period from ten calendar days to five calendar days for reporting a change of address, internet accounts, internet identifiers, or their status at institutions of higher education. A ten-dollar fee is still required for reporting changes of address or higher education status, but failure to pay will not prevent the acceptance of the registration update by the division.
