Requiring that vehicles yield the right of way to multi-use trails that cross roadways

Bill S 7549 requires drivers to yield the right of way to individuals using multi-use trails when those trails cross a roadway within a crosswalk. This applies to pedestrians, bicyclists, and others using non-motorized transport on designated multi-use trails. Users of these trails will also be subject to the same limitations as pedestrians when crossing a roadway in a crosswalk. The bill defines multi-use trails as those established by various state or local entities for recreational and transportation purposes.
