S 7446 New York Senate · 2025 Regular Session

Exempts veterans from the payment of certain fees relating to corporations

Bill S 7446 proposes to exempt eligible New York resident veterans from paying certain fees related to forming or operating business and not-for-profit corporations. Specifically, it waives fees normally required by Section 104-A of the business and not-for-profit corporation laws. This exemption applies for a period of five years after a veteran's military discharge or confirmation of their veteran status. The bill defines "veteran" to include those with honorable or general discharges, as well as those with qualifying conditions or discharged LGBT veteran status.
