Provides for the inclusion of a faculty or staff member on the board of trustees of community colleges

Changed the committee status from 'committed to the Committee on Higher Education' to 'reported favorably from said committee, ordered to first and second report, ordered to a third reading, amended and ordered reprinted, retaining its place in the order of third reading'.

Replaced 'faculty senate or equivalent faculty shared governance body' with 'largest faculty organization on each campus' for conducting faculty member elections.

Added specific references to section 805-a of the General Municipal Law and section 105 of the Public Officers Law regarding board member ethics and disclosure requirements.

Updated bill numbering from S 4685 to S 4685--A and added Cal. No. 457 to reflect legislative amendment status.
