This bill requires election boards in cities with over one million residents to provide voting information in Haitian Creole, matching the same content offered in other languages. Specifically, it mandates that websites include Haitian Creole translations and that a citywide booklet be distributed containing: (1) English voter registration forms with Haitian Creole instructions, (2) absentee ballot application guidelines in Haitian Creole, and (3) general voter FAQs in Haitian Creole. The bill does not require translation of all materials but ensures key voting processes are accessible in Haitian Creole. It applies only to large cities and takes effect January 1 following enactment.
