MINOR
This bill was amended to add two new sponsors, Jackson and Scarcella-Spanton, and to streamline the legislative text by creating a new standalone section instead of amending existing ones. The substantive policy requirements regarding construction projects in Long Island and the use of project labor agreements remain unchanged.
TECHNICAL
Added Senators Jackson and Scarcella-Spanton to the list of bill sponsors.
Replaced the method of amending existing Education Law sections with a new, standalone section (3602-g) to improve the bill's structure and readability.
Updated the bill's effective date language from applying to unapproved plans as of the effective date to applying to projects bid on or after the effective date.
