Military spouses now receive one and one-half points for promotion exams instead of the previous two and one-half points, while their points for original appointment exams remain at three.

Surviving spouses continue to receive six points for both original appointment and promotion exams, with no change to their eligibility or point values.

Non-disabled veterans retain five points for original appointment exams but now receive two and one-half points for promotion exams instead of the previous three.
