MODERATE
The bill was amended to expand the fraud assessment commission from nine to ten members by adding a claimant attorney representative, clarify that the assessment targets employer fraud specifically, and adjust language to emphasize employer workers' compensation fraud cases. These changes aim to improve commission representation and clarify the scope of fraud investigations.
Scope change
The bill now explicitly targets employer workers' compensation fraud rather than general workers' compensation fraud, and adds claimant attorney representation to the oversight commission.
SCOPE

Added 'employer' before 'workers' compensation fraud' to clarify the assessment specifically targets employer misconduct rather than all fraud cases.

REQUIREMENT

Increased the fraud assessment commission membership from nine to ten members by adding one claimant attorney representative to improve balanced oversight.

DEFINITION

Changed 'workers' compensation fraud inspector general' to 'inspector general' in commission membership language for consistency.

TECHNICAL

Added 'employer' before 'workers' compensation fraud cases' in fund distribution language to align with commission membership changes.
