Establishes the task force on daylight saving time

Bill A 8106 establishes the "task force on daylight saving time" in New York State. This task force is created to study the potential effects if New York were to opt out of daylight saving time. It will examine various factors, including associated health risks, economic and social impacts, effects on traffic and crime, and the positions of neighboring states. Comprised of state agency personnel and experts, the task force must submit a report with its findings, conclusions, and recommendations to the Governor and Legislature by April 1, 2026.
