Requires affordable housing units to be equally distributed throughout building projects

This bill requires new housing projects with affordable units to spread them evenly throughout the building(s), rather than concentrating them on specific floors or sections. It also mandates that affordable units have equal access to shared facilities, entrances, and exits as regular-priced apartments. Large cities (over 1 million people) may temporarily waive these rules for specific projects via city council vote. The law applies immediately to projects still under construction when it takes effect, and existing projects must comply with the access requirements upon completion.
