Establishes registered medical assistants

This bill establishes a new "registered medical assistant" (M.A.-R) designation in New York. To register, individuals must complete an approved education program, pay fees, meet age and character requirements, and pass background checks. Registered medical assistants may perform basic office tasks (like filing records and billing) independently but can only administer vaccinations or other advanced clinical tasks under the supervision of a licensed health care provider. Only registered medical assistants can legally use the title "registered medical assistant" or "M.A.-R."
