Relates to establishing an electoral voting system for electing the governor, lieutenant-governor, comptroller and attorney general

This bill proposes changing how four statewide offices - governor, lieutenant-governor, comptroller, and attorney general - are elected. It would replace current direct voting with an electoral system where voters cast a single ballot for both governor and lieutenant-governor, while comptroller and attorney general would be elected via separate votes. Electoral votes would be allocated based on county population (one vote per county plus one per 50,000 residents), with results tabulated in Albany on December 1st. If no candidate secures a majority in the first vote, up to 10 runoff elections would be held before the candidate with the most votes wins. The change requires a constitutional amendment and is currently under review by the Attorney General.
