Increases civil service credits given to veterans currently returning from service
Bill A 4767 increases the additional civil service credits available to veterans. It grants veterans honorably discharged on or after January 1, 2025, ten extra points on competitive examinations for initial civil service appointments and five points for promotions. Disabled veterans honorably discharged during the same timeframe would receive fifteen additional points for original appointments and ten points for promotions. These credits are applied to competitive examinations for civil service positions.
