Modernizes the practice of podiatry

Expanded the definition of podiatric practice to include diagnosing, treating, and prescribing for diseases, injuries, deformities, and local manifestations of systemic diseases affecting the ankle, in addition to the foot.

Updated the wound care provision to include treatment of wounds on the ankle within the podiatric scope of practice, not just the foot.

Added a new definition of 'ankle' to include specific anatomical structures such as the distal metaphysis and epiphysis of the tibia and fibula, articular cartilage, ligaments, and soft tissues at or below the myotendinous junction of the triceps surae.

Revised the requirements for podiatric advanced ankle surgery privileges to clarify that board qualification satisfies certification requirements for limited permits, and updated supervision requirements for limited permit holders.

Added ankle arthroscopy to the list of procedures that podiatrists with advanced ankle surgery privileges may perform.

Updated the supervision requirements for limited permit holders to allow procedures to be authorized and evaluated by the supervising podiatrist without requiring them to remain in the immediate area.
