Provides for assistance to disabled drivers at gas stations

This bill requires self-service gas stations in New York to install a button that allows drivers with disabilities to request help pumping their own fuel. When a driver with a valid disabled license plate presses the button, an employee must come to the pump to assist them at no extra cost. The law includes specific rules for how the alert device should be placed and posted, while also exempting stations that are staffed by only one employee or where a passenger can safely pump the gas. Owners with a single station must comply within one year, while those with multiple stations must make at least half of their locations compliant within that same timeframe, with full compliance required within three years.
