Authorizes Lee Weinstein to receive certain service credit under section 384-d of the retirement and social security law

This bill allows police officer Lee Weinstein to count his time working for the Village of Greenwood Lake toward a special 20-year retirement plan, rather than the standard plan he was placed in. The officer missed the deadline to join the special plan due to reasons outside his control, and the law now permits him to receive credit for that service if both the Village and the Town of Chester agree to pay the extra costs. Each local government must officially vote to accept these costs within one year of the bill becoming law, and they will share the financial burden over a ten-year period. Once the towns agree and the officer applies, he will gain full retirement benefits associated with the special plan for his service during those years.
