Makes commissioners full time employees of boards outside the city of New York
This bill requires election commissioners for boards located outside New York City to serve as full-time employees rather than part-time volunteers. It allows counties with populations over 120,000 to increase the number of these commissioners from two to four through local laws. The legislation maintains the existing rule that major political parties can each recommend an equal number of appointments for these positions. The changes become effective immediately upon passage.
