This bill expands New Jersey's disability parking program to include individuals diagnosed with Irritable Bowel Disease, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, or Crohn's disease. To qualify, a person must have their diagnosis certified by a licensed physician, nurse practitioner, or other specified medical professional. Eligible individuals can then obtain a disability parking identification card, placard, or license plates displaying the national wheelchair symbol. The policy change aims to address accessibility challenges linked to these conditions, which often cause urgent restroom needs and mobility limitations.
