Exempts persons with disabilities from parking meter fees under certain circumstances.

This bill exempts individuals with disabilities from paying municipal parking meter fees in New Jersey when they display an official disability placard or wheelchair symbol license plate. The exemption applies only when the person with the disability is the driver or passenger of the vehicle and the vehicle is not parked for more than 24 hours at a single metered location. The New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission will be tasked with creating rules to implement these provisions, which take effect immediately upon passage.
