Requires MVC to develop informational pamphlet concerning operation of low-speed electric bicycles and low-speed electric scooters; requires certain food delivery companies to distribute pamphlet to certain individuals.
What changed between versions
The pamphlet must now include information on P.L.2025, c.285 (C.39:6A-4.8 et al.) in addition to the previously referenced P.L.2019, c.121, expanding the body of law covered by the required educational material.
The requirement for food delivery companies to include the pamphlet in paperwork was narrowed from 'during the hiring process' to 'during the application process,' which is a slightly narrower window (application vs. the full hiring cycle).
The effective date was changed from 'the first day of the second month after enactment' (approximately 60 days) to 'the 90th day after enactment,' giving stakeholders an additional roughly 30 days before the law takes effect.
The STATEMENT section (a summary paragraph typically appended to New Jersey bills) was removed, which is a procedural change with no policy impact.
