S 3390 New Jersey Senate · 2026-2027 Regular Session

Establishes requirements for fee disclosure and for fees allowed as part of sale for certain tickets.

This bill requires ticket sellers - including brokers, issuers, and websites - to clearly display the total price of a ticket (including all fees like service charges) before purchase, in dollars, without misleading presentation. It prohibits price increases during checkout (except for delivery fees on physical tickets selected before payment). Venues or their agents cannot charge extra beyond the set ticket price plus taxes, though reasonable service fees for specific services (e.g., credit card processing) or physical delivery fees are permitted. The law applies to all ticket sales in New Jersey and takes effect seven months after enactment.
