This bill (S 2687) requires landlords of residential rental buildings with six or more units to install Internet-connected temperature-tracking devices in each unit. The devices must measure indoor temperature hourly, record data for 90 days, and be accessible to both tenants and owners, operating annually from October 31 through May 31. Tenants may refuse installation, but landlords must then notify the Department of Community Affairs.
