This bill requires parties involved in arbitration hearings regarding personal injury protection benefits to be represented by a licensed New Jersey attorney. The cost of hiring this attorney must be paid by the party seeking representation, while individuals choosing to represent themselves are exempt from this rule. The law will only apply to arbitration cases that are started after the bill takes effect 90 days following its enactment.
