Requires certain public utilities to provide customers notice of certain utility work that could impact traffic.

This New Jersey bill requires public utilities to inform customers by mail when scheduled non-emergency work is planned within three miles of their home. The notice must appear on the customer's utility bill and applies to providers of electric, gas, sewer, telephone, and water services. Emergency repairs, defined as those needed to prevent immediate danger to life or property, are exempt from this notification requirement. The law takes effect immediately upon introduction.
