Requires licensure of dog trainers.

This bill, the "Dog Trainer Licensing Act," requires anyone who trains dogs for compensation (such as a fee or salary) to obtain a license. It establishes a Dog Trainer Board within the Division of Consumer Affairs to set licensing standards, including a 300-hour supervised training requirement, high school graduation or equivalent, and good moral character. The board will issue licenses, maintain records, and handle disciplinary actions for unlicensed practice or violations. Unlicensed individuals would be prohibited from offering dog training services for compensation.
