Permits U.S. citizens who are full time college students to be district board members in county of college even if student is not a resident of county or State.

This bill (A 3798) would allow U.S. citizens enrolled as full-time college students at an institution in a New Jersey county to serve as district board members (poll workers) in that county, regardless of whether they live in the county or state. Currently, applicants must be county residents (with limited exceptions for high school students). The key change adds a new eligibility category to the law for full-time college students at county institutions. It does not change residency requirements for other applicants or alter voting eligibility. The bill is pending in the Assembly Higher Education Committee.
