Requires restaurant employees to receive periodic sexual harassment training.

This bill (A3524) requires New Jersey restaurants employing 15 or more people to provide annual sexual harassment training to all staff, including new hires within 90 days and refresher sessions every five years. The training must be interactive, industry-specific, offered in English and Spanish, and include separate modules for supervisors and regular employees. Restaurants must also adopt and distribute a written sexual harassment policy. Violations could result in civil penalties up to $500 for the first offense and $1,000 for subsequent violations.
