This bill creates the New Jersey-Africa Commission within the Department of State to strengthen economic, cultural, and governmental ties between New Jersey and African nations. The commission, composed of 21 members (5 state agency officials and 16 public members from New Jersey's African Diaspora community), will advise the Governor on improving links in commerce, agriculture, education, health, and cultural exchanges. It will organize five specialized committees to develop recommendations and report annually to the Governor and Legislature. The commission will facilitate structured collaboration between New Jersey entities and African nations, focusing on mutually beneficial projects without direct funding authority.
