Schools must update former students' records and reissue documents (like diplomas or transcripts) with their legal name upon receiving acceptable documentation (e.g., driver's license, court order), charging only a nominal fee for reissuance. The law applies to all schools and colleges offering academic degrees and takes effect three months after enactment.
