Requires DOH to study cost of establishing long-term health care benefit for certain individuals.
What changed between versions
The report submission requirement in section 1(b) now explicitly names the Chairs of the Assembly Aging and Human Services Committee, the Assembly Health Committee, and the Senate Health, Human Services and Senior Citizens Committee (or their successors) as required recipients, rather than just saying 'the Legislature.'
The language about stakeholder input in section 1(b) was simplified. The specific committee names were removed from that sentence (since they now appear in the report recipients line above), leaving only a general reference to 'interested stakeholders.'
Former subsection c, which required the Department of Health to provide periodic status updates to the Assembly Aging and Human Services Committee and the Senate Health, Human Services and Senior Citizens committee before the final report was due, was struck entirely.
