Requires installation of fuel gas sensor devices in certain dwelling units.

This bill requires owners of certain residential properties to install fuel gas sensors. It applies to dwellings in buildings with fewer than three units (during occupancy changes or sales/leases), hotels/multiple dwellings, and rooming/boarding houses. During required inspections by fire officials, owners must install sensors or prove no gas hazard exists, with a possible one-time deferral if existing carbon monoxide detectors are functional. Sensors must meet UL 2075/NFPA 715 standards, and non-compliance carries a $100 fine.
