Authorizes public bodies to continue using newspapers for required public notices and legal advertisements until certain specified date regardless of format; requires submission of certain subscription and other data.*

The end date for newspaper eligibility was changed from December 31, 2025 to June 30, 2025, shortening the extension period by six months.

A new section requires newspapers and online news publications providing public notice services to submit data within 30 days of a related pending bill's effective date, including: paid digital subscriptions by public body, unpaid digital or print subscriptions by public body, daily retail newspaper sales, amounts billed for public notices from 2020-2024 by each public body, average retail subscription prices, and daily page views on the relevant webpage since January 1, 2024.

The required data must be submitted to the Governor and the Legislative Services Commission, with distribution handled by the Office of Public Information in the Office of Legislative Services. The commission may also request additional information on its own deadlines.

The act's short title was expanded to include 'requiring the submission of certain data,' reflecting the new reporting obligation alongside the original newspaper eligibility provision.
