S 3267 establishes a $500 one-time textbook grant program for New Jersey undergraduate students who complete unpaid short-term internships with state government entities. Administered by the Higher Education Student Assistance Authority, the grant must be used for textbooks and course materials in the student's next academic semester. To qualify, applicants must provide proof of completing an unpaid state internship and maintain enrollment in an undergraduate program at a New Jersey institution, including a commitment to continue studies. The bill applies immediately to the first full academic year following its enactment.
