This bill allows New Jersey county colleges to apply for approval to offer four-year nursing degree programs. County colleges must submit detailed proposals to the New Jersey Presidents' Council covering program design, facilities, costs, curriculum, and accreditation plans. The council reviews proposals within 30 days, provides feedback, and forwards approved proposals to the Higher Education Secretary for final approval within 60 days. The program can only launch if the New Jersey Board of Nursing accredits it, aiming to increase nursing education capacity and address statewide workforce needs.
